Where to stop for a quick lunch in Napa Valley

Napa Valley offers so many places to enjoy fine dining that it can be daunting to select a place to eat.  When you are out wine-tasting, you might be looking for something fast and convenient that provides a quality meal.  The following is a list of places to dine in the valley that deliver a nice lunch in short order.

In the City of Napa
Vallergas Market – Build your own sandwich here and take it with you (or eat at picnic tables set up outdoors).  Very convenient to Highway 29.
Whole Foods Market – In addition to sandwiches, there are a number of prepared hot foods available, as well as some indoor tables for dining during inclement weather.  Very convenient to Highway 29.

In Yountville
Ranch Market Too – These folks have some delicious custom sandwich options, in addition to the ability to create your own favorite.  Salads are available too.  Indoor and outdoor tables are available.  Your best bet anywhere between Oak Knoll and Rutherford.

In Saint Helena
Taylor’s Refresher – You can get your hamburger and fries with a half-bottle of Napa Valley wine and dine at a picnic table under the oaks.  (If you’re visiting three more places you may want to save the wine for dinner.)
Dean and Deluca – This renowned market offers many specialties to take with you, including a wide variety of baked goods.  There is no on-site dining, so plan on a picnic lunch elsewhere.  Check out their impressive wine department.

In Calistoga
Palisades Deli – A long menu of lunch choices including hot and cold sandwiches, salads, wraps, and more.  On the main strip with most of the shopping.
